Beloved - Greatly loved; dear to the heart
Welcome!
My name is Jeanine, and I’m so thankful to have you here!
To me, food is not only about providing life and flavor, but about bringing people together. Families gather for Sunday dinners, old friends catch up over lunch, and people meet their soulmates while sharing a cup of coffee. I’ve seen that one of the best ways to love and celebrate people we care about is with something sweet, and I want to be part of that for you!
My passion for creating food started young (baby J is just 5 in that picture). Memories of making pies with grandma and cookies with mom led to creating recipes in high school and going to culinary school for pastry. I have always gravitated towards cakes, and even after learning and enjoying the other pastry disciplines I knew “my thing” was still cakes. It’s fun to create beautiful pastries and fun flavors, but what makes cakes my favorite is working with someone to create THEIR perfect item! The flavor, the filling, the design, and the event are unique to each person, and that is something special to me.
When I discovered cake pops it quickly became another creative outlet. My first time making cake pops was actually after a big cake fail. I was making a wedding cake and put way too much filling which led to the cake falling apart. I was so frustrated I started chopping up the cake and then realized I could make cake pops to reduce the waste! I chucked the cake into a mixer and the rest is history! What a happy accident :)
Why Beloved?
I’ve found a joy in creating beautiful and delicious food, but my favorite part is sharing with friends and family and getting to watch them enjoy. Beloved means greatly loved; dear to the heart. That speaks to me, as I believe sharing food is a way of coming together with the beloved people in your life.
Not only that, but Christ calls us beloved, and 1 John 4:19 tells us that we love others because He loved us first. That’s a full circle moment - Christ loves me, I love people, and I share food to show my love for others - so to me there is no better name than Beloved.
